Positive News is crowdfunding in order to offer a training placement for a young person
At a time of scarce opportunities for young people, we’re offering a training placement at Positive News for someone aged 18-25.
This is part of Positive News Trust’s ongoing efforts to inspire a generation of ‘positive’ journalists.
Over a period of 3 months, the individual will gain key skills and experience in the media and learn a solution-focused approach to news reporting.
The young person will be mentored by the Positive News team throughout the placement and will report back to readers about his or her progress, through online blogs.

Our sister organisation, the registered charity Positive News Trust, is partnering with community fundraising website WeSayWePay, to give you the opportunity to support this unique and inspiring project. The WeSayWePay platform lets people group together and raise funds for projects they want to see happen. With lots of people each giving a small one-off donation, a big difference can be made.
£600, which we hope to raise from Positive News readers and supporters, will cover the trainee’s expenses for 12 weeks. Together the Positive News community will be supporting something it cares about by providing an opportunity for a young person and in doing so by promoting the growth of positive journalism.
