About this nominee

In 2019, London was named the world’s first National Park City, thanks to the team behind the London National Park City campaign. It’s largely run by volunteers and is working towards creating a greener, healthier city and better quality of life for Londoners.

How would they use the funding?

A quarter of London’s children visit a green space less than once a month, and the team wants to use this funding to help change that. If successful, they will spend the money on training up more National Park City Champions in school and communities, to get more children outdoors and active in London’s parks.
