10% of profits from new mobile phone service will go to WWF

WWF has launched a mobile phone network that will raise money for wildlife conservation projects, with 10% of net revenue going towards the organisation’s work with endangered species.

According to the charity, a 10-minute call on Wildlife Mobile could pay for six tree seedlings to help restore critical areas of tiger habitat, while three weeks of regular usage could cover the cost of a three-person community-based anti-poaching patrol in Nepal for a day.

The environmental charity states that the pricing of its SIM-only service, which runs on the Vodafone UK network, is competitive, while still allowing for money to be raised towards its conservation work.
