Service collects and scraps old cars, giving value of vehicle to charities
A new car recycling scheme that allows people to donate the value of their old vehicle to charity has been launched. Charity Car will come and collect your old car free of charge, ensure its materials are recycled and then pass on 100% of the car’s market value to the charity of your choice.
Cars that still have some life left in them are sold at auction to the highest bidder and money raised will also go to charity. One partner charity is Cool Earth, who are dedicated to protecting endangered rainforest.
“By getting rid of your old scrap vehicle through Charity Car, you can protect at least 2 acres of rainforest,” said Cool Earth’s director, Matthew Owen.
