Buglife at Real Food Festival

Sunday 27 April.
Earls Court, London

Buglife will be at The Real Food Festival this April to spread the word about how crucial bugs are to food production. We have a special offer on ticket prices for Buglife supporters, so come and join us at the show!

The Real Food Festival is being described as ‘pretty much the biggest farmers market ever’! It will feature over 500 small food and drink producers and promises to be an exciting and interesting event with opportunities to meet the producers themselves, sample their products and of course buy goods to take home!

Bugs, or invertebrates, are often regarded as pests in food production, whether in the garden or on the farmers fields. We aim to change all that! Buglife will be at the Real Food Festival to raise awareness of how crucial many invertebrate species are to the production of foods such as apples, strawberries, cherries, brazil nuts, almonds, honey, coffee and many, many more. Without bugs we wouldn’t have chocolate ñ a terrifying prospect! Not only do bugs pollinate many of our crops, but they also recycle nutrients and condition the soil.

The Real Food Festival takes place at Earls Court, London, from Thursday 24 April to Sunday 27 April. Children are welcome and there is no charge for children under the age of 15.
